About Ravindra Kumar

A dedicated martial artist, Ravindra Kumar was born in August 1976 in the vibrant city of Bokaro Steel City, India. His journey into the world of Shotokan Karate began at the age of 15 when he set foot on a path that would not only shape his life but also inspire countless others.


His early training in karate was under the tutelage of an accomplished instructor, Indra Prakash Lamba, who instilled in Ravindra a passion for martial arts.It was under the guidance of TK Rajan Sensei, Chief Instructor of SKI India under SKIF Japan, that Ravindra Kumar truly honed his skills and embarked on a remarkable journey of self-discovery through Karate.


As his proficiency in karate increased, Ravindra Kumar felt a deep desire to share his knowledge and passion with others. To achieve this goal, he founded the Bokaro Karate Club in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, a place where aspiring martial artists could train and learn from his expertise.


Ravindra's dedication and hard work bore fruit when he achieved the coveted Shodan rank under the tutelage of SKIF examiner and chief instructor Shuseki Manabu Murakami, an 8th Dan black belt from Japan. This proved to be an important milestone in his martial arts journey.


Not content with just individual achievements, Ravindra Kumar also shone on the national stage and won the title of National Champion in 1995 and 1997. His dedication to his art and consistent training regimen led him to meet some of Shotokan's most influential figures. , Karate, including world chief instructors Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa, Tetsu Takamiyagi, and Shuseki Shihan Manabu Murakami.


In 2001, driven by his passion to spread the knowledge of Shotokan Karate far and wide, Ravindra Kumar moved to Delhi. Years of hard work and unwavering commitment culminated in the establishment of the International Academy of Shotokan Karate in 2012. This institution stands as a testament to his vision, providing a platform for students of all ages and backgrounds to experience the transformative power of martial arts.


Today, Ravindra Kumar remains a source of inspiration for aspiring martial artists, instilling in them the values ​​of discipline, dedication and perseverance. His journey from a young enthusiast to an accomplished karate instructor and founder of a prestigious academy in Bokaro Steel City is a testament to the transformative power of passion and unwavering determination.

About Sensei T K Rajan

Sensei T K Rajan introduced Judo & Karate in North India in 1968. He formed Delhi Karate Association in 1979, he was president & General Secretary and Sensei Anil Sinha was the Technical Director. He joined in since 1982 Shotokan Karate International Japan and got Shodan from Kancho Herokazu Kanazawa & achieved Go-Dan 5th degree Black Belt in 1994 from Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation (SKIF-Japan).


Many member Parliaments, High commission Members, Film Stars and their family members Like Abhishek Bacchan, Shaweta Bacchan, comes to learn from Sensei T.K. Rajan. Rahul Gandhi, son of Late Prime Minister of India also a student of Sensei T.K. Rajan. Film star Mithun Chakroborty was also Member of Shotokan Karate International Federation -Japan.


In 1998 the Sensei Rajan fall-down with 2 times brain haemorrhage and then paralyses attack after he was on bed since then. In 2013, 6th June at 11.30am our beloved Sensei T K Rajan has passed away. He left his wife and daughter Priya along with all of us alone.Death can never take a good man away, in the hearts of the our he inspired, the legacy remains and continuous throughout generations. He was a great master to many and may his soul find eternal rest.”
